CONTEST TIME!!!
Hey everyone! It’s that time of the year again . . . Contest time!
I spoke with RWA this morning and they told me that the entry forms should be available by the days end! Just go to www.rwanational.org and login in. Click on the “MY CONTESTS” tab and it all the rules, regulations, and deadlines should be right there alongside the forms!
We just wanted to encourage everyone to go out and enter, both of these are such prestigious and honorable awards, what do you have to lose by trying?! Below is the general RWA announcement:
RITA and Golden Heart Contests
RWA sponsors two contests each year. The RITA contest is for authors published by an RWA-recognized publisher. The Golden Heart contest is for the unpublished manuscripts of writers who have not yet sold to an RWA-recognized publisher. The deadline for entering both contests is in
November. From January-May, entries are judged and eliminated or advanced to final rounds, according to their scores. The winners of the RITA and Golden Heart contests are announced at an Awards Ceremony on the final night of RWA's Annual Conference in July. Details about entering the current RITA and Golden Heart contests are available below.The deadlines for entering the 2007 RWA contests are November 15, 2006, for the Golden Heart contest, and November 30, 2006, for the RITA contest. Please read all the rules, category descriptions, and deadlines described within the links below before entering. Good luck to this year's entrants!
So if you have a novel that fits into any of the catagories, go sign up! May the best stories win! Good luck to everyone – Let the Games begin!

Oh my god! I just joined the RWA too!!! I'm so excited! Oh my god! I have to finish my damned re-write!!!
