Well rats, Blogger does NOT like the link HtmL tag even though it says it does. Grr so no click, it's cut and paste.

Jia, Can I say I cried out "YES, YES" in my best Meg Ryan voice when I saw the cover?? LOL

Maureen, I'm glad you like the sound of the book. I like to think that either my settings or characters are pretty unique. I'm a risk taker, so sometimes my work reflects that. I like the idea of writing something that might be different, then beating the odds to make it a success. Underdogs are my fav things in life.

Ooh, how exciting! Monica, I first heard about this book when Berkley did a giveaway at Dear Author back in December, but unfortunately they weren't giving away Kismet, just promoting it. I left a comment saying that was a shame because it was such a great setting.

So glad to have a chance to win it. My fingers are tightly crossed!

@Wyrdkat Glad you like the looks of it.

@armenia - Excitement I love. So glad I'm on your list

@Jamie G - If the cover drew you in, then my hope is that it draws in a lot more readers. *grin*

@azteclady - I am honored that you're eager to read. I know you have discriminating tastes. I can only hope that when you read you will find the book worthy. *smile*

@Margay - the title is a whole story in and of itself for another day. Suffice it to say, the title came to me out of the blue.

I've wanted to read this since... November? Maybe earlier? What did you bribe the cover gods with to get that cover, Monica? (Also, love the excerpt.)

So pick me, pick me! Over here! Me! The one waving around her hands like a madwoman!

@Katherine - What about that gorgeous blue slip of material Allegra is wearing. I LOVE it!

@Lynz thank you for saying you've been wanting to read the book for a while. That's such a treat to here. And I didn't bribe any gods, although I would have been happy too. But I have a phenom editor who seems to know just what to say to the art department to pull out the best covers. If you want to see another great cover, check out my cover for my June release Assassin's Honor. The cover model has Ben Afleck's chin and he's GORGEOUS and soooo just what I visiualized for Ares, the hero.

Oooh, Monica, you're totally right about the cover for Assassin's Honor! *drools* It's not easy to keep a cover that classy when it features a half-naked man. Yum.

@Pam P Oh thank you for saying it's on your wishlist. I hope it will wind up on your TBR pile. *smile*

@Biki - I'm glad the blurb drew you in

@Lynz Isn't he dreamy? And I love how the line of the A is subtly makes a point of the sexual tension in the book, and yet the word Honor underneath reflects the overall theme of the book. Ares is ALL about honor and he manages to botch it completely, but he's redeemed. I just finished the Copyedits last night, and I'm soooo eager for June when this book is released. I love it!

Kismet is the same way. If you look at the cover, with Allegra on top, it reflects her power over the hero to a certain degree. The two of them have this entire power struggle going on that completely undoes both of them. It was a joy to see them come together in the end.

@Jeanette I love it when someone uses the word "fabulous" in the same breath as my book. Thanks!
