The punk-industrial fetishist in me says a tongue piercing makes the perfect kiss.
You're out on the boardwalk (or at some other cheesy date location that, normally, you would laugh about being taken to. But this is "the one," and you're tickled pink that he thought of taking you there all by himself). You've been fretting the entire time: why isn't he walking closer to me? Does my breath stink of garlic bread? Do I have a piece of parsley stuck between my teeth? DOES THIS DRESS MAKE ME LOOK FAT?!
Distracted, you don't notice when he turns in, grabs you by the chin, and descends. You're definitely not prepared. Oh gods, what's he doing?!
The two of you clonk heads before your lips even touch.
...nobody said it had to be a successful kiss to be perfect. In fact, sometimes the imperfect first attempts are what we remember above all the rest ;)

What makes the perfect kiss? Knowing that your underwear matches, so it's safe to let him in for a night cap.

Anticipation and tongue. Loads of tongue. Which probably makes my ideal man a really hard to catch frog, but there you go.

I think Kevin Costner in Bull Durham had the perfect answer to this question, "I believe in long, slow deep, soft kisses that last for three days". Although I do think if there is deep feeling there it makes a differents!
