Take Home Tuesday

UPDATE: The winner of signed copies of NIGHT RISING and MIDNIGHT REIGN by Chris Marie Green is Kirsten! Congrats!!! Please email your physical addy to contests(AT)knightagency.net.
Today, Chris Marie Green is stopping by to give away two signed mass market copies from her Vampire Babylon series! Read below for details on how to win!

Below the streets, the vampires gather. Erotic, beautiful, secretive…dangerous. Dawn Madison, an ex-stunt woman, takes up the hunt for these enthralling creatures, first in Hollywood, then in London. As the Undergrounds’ secrets spill into her own life, shaping it, illuminating her own muddled past, she must face these underground Vampire Babylons.

Or die trying.

The Vampire Babylon series uses trilogy arcs to tell one basic story, much like the way JK Rowling used seven books that didn’t solve every plot thread book-by-book to tell Harry Potter’s story. While each individual novel focuses on a central mystery that’s solved by the end, the three books together build character and mythology arcs/mysteries until everything culminates in the third book of the trilogies.

The first trilogy is known as the “Hollywood trilogy.” It contains these books:

NIGHT RISING
MIDNIGHT REIGN
BREAK OF DAWN

The second trilogy continues the adventures of Dawn Madison and the vampire hunting team, and this three-book arc is known as the “London trilogy.” It consists of:

A DROP OF RED
THE PATH OF RAZORS
DEEP IN THE WOODS (to be released March 2, 2010)

On January 26, BREAK OF DAWN, Book Three, is being reissued in mass market format. Of course, you’ll want to read the first two books in the series before that! To learn more, you can go a number of places—www.vampirebabylon.com, my blog
, Facebook (at http://www.facebook.com/people/Chris-Marie-Green/1051327765 ) or Twitter (at http://twitter.com/ChrisMarieGreen ).

By commenting below, one person will win signed mass market copies of NIGHT RISING, Book One, and MIDNIGHT REIGN, Book Two.

Question of the day: What as-yet-unproduced paranormal series would you love to see on TV or the movies? Who would you cast in some main roles?

Have fun playing!

This contest will close tomorrow, January 27th, at 12pm ET.

Going for Larissa Ione's Demonica series, Kresley Cole's Immortal After Dark series and Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld series. They are all in the Paranormal Romance genre. :) As for who I'd cast for some of the main roles . . .

For Ms. Showalter's LoTU series:
Taylor Kitsch as Maddox,
Jensen Ackles as Reyes,
Jared Padalecki as Kane (doesn't have his own book yet, but is mentioned throughout the other books in the series.)
Ali Larter as Anya.

Ms. Cole's Immortals After Dark:
Sophia Myles as Emmaline.
Dichen Lachman as Regin.
Amy Acker as Nix. (Both have frequent appearances in the series as a whole.)
Summer Glau as Lucia (upcoming release.)

Ms. Ione's Demonica series:
Possibly Amber Benson as Runa...
Tania Raymonde as Sin (upcoming release.)

Running out of actors/actresses that fit the characters so I'm sticking with the above. I would prefer the series to be on TV rather than in the form of movies, but I'm good for both. ;)

Challenging Q - I enjoyed doing it!

I really like Lynsay Sands Argenau series. And would love to see it on tv. Not sure who I would cast .... My fav books are Single white vampire + Tall Dark & Hungry.
Edward Norton and Richard Armitage are some of my fav actors. Perhaps they can be Lucern & Bastien. Emily Blunt and Amy Adams can then be Kate & Terri although they don't look alike and are supposed to be family. Hmmm more difficult than I thought.

I have been wanting to start this series. It sounds very good. I Like that it is in 3 book story arcs too. When things drag on and on they can lost focus. I think Rachel Caines Morganville series would make a good show or movie.

Nell Channing, Ripley Todd and Mia Devlin From Nora Roberts Triligy of Three Sisters Island. Start with Nell, played by Jennifer Love H. and her boyfriend, Zack Todd, Ripleys brother, played by Mark Consuelos. I loved this triligy. Nora also has other Triligy's that would make great movies.
Thanks for giveaway.

Hey, guys!
Wow--what awesome, thoughtful answers.

LSUReader, CrystalGB, tetewa, Kirsten, misskallie--you all make me realize that I am *so* behind on my reading, LOL.

Incident, I've read Gena's books, and I agree! Great suggestions. You don't happen to be a SUPERNATURAL fan, are you? ;) I adore that show.

donnas, thank you! I hope you will enjoy the books. :)

Keep 'em coming!

Crystal, thank you and I so am. I guess my suggestions for them being actors for Gena's books gave that away. ;) I've just began watching the fourth season again, preparing for season 5 over where I am. Loving it! :)

I'd 'love' to see Sherilynn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series somehow brought into theatres. Probably use Acheron for a movie, then various characters in the New Orleans setting since so many are focused down there.

Casting: Acheron...yikes. Not very many 6'7" men. In a pinch, if you shrank down a few of the others, Brandon Routh might work - he's young enough looking and as SUperman Returns proves, he could pull off contacts to change his hair color.

Artemis: Kirsten Dunst

From there...anyone's guess, depending on which stories they chose to follow.

Hi :)
Thank you for the opportunity to win!
I'd love to see HBO do L.K. Hamilton's early Anita Blake books and Richelle Mead's Succubus series and Yasmine Galenorn's Sisters of the Moon series and Patricia Briggs' Mercy books and Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld series and Chloe Neill's Chicagoland series and...
:)

I would love to see Keri Arthur's Riley Jensen Guardian Series on either TV or on the big screen. But I have no idea who could play any of the characters. Nobodys would probably be best. Except for Jack (Riley's boss). He should be played by Rip Torn.

Incident--you're going to love season 5 of SUPERNATURAL. It has some of the series' best episodes, IMHO!

Catherine and angel--yet more authors I need to read, LOL.

Elizabeth L--Are you watching Brandon Routh on CHUCK? Delish. :)

RK! Great to see you. I keep hearing that IFC is supposed to be coming out with the Laurell K. Hamilton book series (Anita Blake). I think they were targeting men instead of women, which is...curious

Crystal: Yeah! All over the Routh on Chuck! I just wish...erm, yeah, I'll leave that unsaid. I hadn't realized he wasn't a natural blue-eyed man until last night when I saw him. Yowza!

Patricia Briggs' Alpha and Omega series needs to be shown on tv. If Emma Roberts was a little older, I think she'd be perfect.

Oh my gosh. There have been some terrific suggestions, quite a few I would choose also. I always love finding new authors. Just reading the synopsis of Chris Marie's books makes me think they might make a good TV series delving into Dawn's adventures with her team. I would also like to see Kerrelyn Sparks "Love at Stake Series" as a Movie or TV. Who wouldn't want to see gorgeous vamps in kilts and that accent, oh my. Gerald Butler can play any of their parts. Thanks for this opportunity.
