Famous Forks

I was checking out the fabulously catty blog Smart Bitches, Trashy Books and stumbled across an interesting tidbit on the city of Forks, Washington. Apparently, the two-stoplight town is reveling in its celebrity status as the setting for Stephanie Meyer's uber-successful TWILIGHT saga. Visitors can tour the "Cullen House," get their pictures taken with the "Vampires Thrive in Forks!" sign at the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center and celebrate Stephanie Meyer Day (September 13, in case you wanted to put it in your crackberry). Interestingly, Meyer chose the town for TWILIGHT after a Google search revealed it was one of the rainiest spots in the country, but she had never visited.
