She's pulled in, blindsided, an unwilling witness to a horrible upcoming event. But she's never been able to stop it not even when the vision was of her mother's fatal car accident. When soulful Jake enters Ashlyn's life, she begins having trances about another car accident. And as her trances escalate, one thing becomes clear: it's up to her to save Jake from near-certain death.

TKA client Linda Gerber, author of the DEATH BY series, was mentioned in a recent Associated Press article spotlighting children's book fairs. The article notes that book fairs have increased in number from around 8,000 in the early 80s to 120,000 annually, with most events being controlled by Scholastic Corp. Also, the popularity of book fairs has remained steady throughout the rocky economic times, mostly attributed to the fact that parents will penny pinch -- but not when it comes to buying book for their kids. Certainly one of the perks to being a YA author *wink*.

It was only a few weeks ago that Aphra Connolly’s life changed completely. She had been living a quiet existence on her father’s secluded island resort, until Seth Mulo turned up and stole her heart . . . and provided information that led her to find her mom in Seattle. But the reunion isn’t quite what she expected. Aphra’s mom, Natalie, doesn’t seem happy to see Aphra, and Natalie’s boyfriend, Joe, insists that Aphra go home. Even worse, Seth shows up, only to ask her to return the ring he gave her the previous summer. At least Natalie’s hunky neighbor is sympathetic. But when Joe is found dead at a nearby coffee shop, Aphra discovers her whole trip to Seattle has been based on a lie. And now someone just might be trying to kill her. . . .
