As we approach the unofficial transition into Summer marked by Memorial Day this weekend, I realized that the buses will soon be heading to the garage and kids everywhere will be eagerly tucking their book bags away for the next several months.

In celebration of the long lazy days of summer that are upon many of our children, we decided to host a special themed week on our blog next week. Be sure to check in next Monday – Friday when we will have a different young adult-author posting each day. This talented lineup has some great posts planned on some great summer reading for not only the young, but the young at heart.
With the absence of buses and book bags, I’m looking forward to hearing from these authors about a whole new assortment of things that make me think back to that time when June – August meant nothing more than long days spent by a pool.
